Description
The challenges of Aquatics staffing are a mile long. Lack of transportation, lack of reliability, poor retention, and cultural divides are only a few systemic barriers those under (and over) 18 face to be employed at the pool. Join us as we assess the barriers to entry for getting a job in aquatics and how to ease those barriers to hire and retain staff. This session will be a discussion into free lifeguard training programs, staff swimming lessons, hiring retirees, and how to stop the poverty cycle to allow employees to work in an environment that will help them succeed in their future endeavors.
