His background consists of 30 years’ experience in the design, manufacture, installation and service of commercial and industrial water treatment, filtration and disinfection systems including ozone, chlorine dioxide, chlorine, ultraviolet, analyzers and controllers, RO, UF, anion and cation exchange, variable frequency drives and controls.

Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will:

  1. Better understand UV light and photochemistry

  2. Be able to describe how UV disinfects and destroys chloramines

  3. Understand the differences between LP and MP UV systems and how they are used in aquatics

  4. Learn the basics of troubleshooting and maintenance
